Create, learn, and take home something meaningful for your parrot.

This 45-minute workshop introduces the essentials of parrot enrichment in a clear, practical way. You will learn about different types of enrichment, how they support your parrot’s physical and mental well-being, and how to choose safe, suitable materials.

The session then moves into a hands-on segment where participants will make simple hanging bird toys and foraging trays using natural materials. These are designed to be easy to recreate at home, so you can continue enriching your parrot’s environment long after the session.

Suitable for both new and experienced parrot owners looking for practical, welfare-focused ideas.

Safety note: Participants should be comfortable handling scissors to cut toy materials during the workshop.

This event will be located at the PSS Info+Welfare booth area, in front of the registration counters at Mempat Hall. Please show your email receipt as proof of purchase to be admitted to the event.

What You Need to Know

  • All materials will be provided. No additional items are required.

  • You may keep the toys you create at the workshop, or donate them to support our foster birds.

  • All proceeds from this workshop support our efforts in improving parrot welfare in Singapore.

  • Due to limited capacity, only registered participants will be admitted.

  • Please arrive 5–10 minutes before your session to allow for a prompt start.

  • Companion parrots are welcome but must be secured in a carrier at all times for safety.

  • If you miss your assigned session, the ticket will be forfeited. No refunds or replacements will be provided.
